How do you verify digital authenticity in the age of AI & deepfakes?

Hey Product Hunt community 👋

I’m the maker of AntiFake, a product we’re preparing to launch soon.

We started AntiFake because it’s becoming incredibly hard to tell whether digital content is real — especially with AI-generated images, deepfakes, and manipulated media spreading everywhere.

What AntiFake does:

  • Capture or upload digital content

  • Generate a QR Proof of authenticity

  • Register a cryptographic hash on-chain (Polygon)

  • Allow anyone to later verify when and by whom the content was first registered

No crypto knowledge or wallets required.

Our current approach is based on “first verifiable on-chain proof” — we don’t judge content quality or intent, only verifiable origin and timing.

The QR Proof is a key part of AntiFake.

After verification, the QR Proof becomes part of the content itself. It can be embedded directly into an image, artwork, or media file.

This allows creators to:

  • Attach a QR Proof to their content

  • Publish the same verified content across social platforms (Instagram, X, websites, marketplaces, etc.)

  • Let anyone instantly scan and verify authenticity from anywhere

Verification isn’t locked inside one platform — it travels with the content itself.

AntiFake is designed as a community-driven system, not just a tool:

  • Creators can receive tips from users who value verified, original content

  • Active users are rewarded for contributing to authenticity verification

  • A utility token (AFTK) is used for verification actions inside the app

  • Advanced users can transfer earned AFTK to their own wallet if they choose

  • The community can report suspicious or fake content, helping surface manipulation and abuse

The goal is simple:

👉 Reward real, original work
👉 Discourage fake or misleading content
👉 Let the community help decide what’s trustworthy

Before launch, I’d really love your honest feedback:

1️⃣ Do you see value in first-on-chain authenticity proofs?
2️⃣ Would community tipping & reporting make this more useful for you?
3️⃣ Where would you personally use authenticity verification?
4️⃣ What should we build next to make this truly valuable?

We’re launching mobile apps (iOS & Android) soon.

Thanks a lot for any thoughts — I’ll reply to every comment 🙌
