How should founders think about “AI visibility” without turning it into SEO?

I’ve been thinking a lot about how founders are starting to care about how AI systems describe their products.

Not rankings, not traffic, not “optimizing for ChatGPT”, but something more basic:

When an AI explains what your product is, does it get the core idea right?

While building LLM Ready, I noticed a pattern.
Many early or niche products are described inconsistently by AI, not because the product is unclear, but because public explanations are fragmented across docs, blogs, communities, and references.

This raised a few open questions for me:

  • How should we think about “AI visibility” without turning it into another form of SEO?

  • Is it reasonable to treat this as a diagnostic problem instead of an optimization race?

  • What public signals actually matter for AI understanding, and which ones are overestimated?

  • Where should the ethical line be between clarity and manipulation?

LLM Ready is my attempt to explore this space conservatively. It doesn’t track live AI answers or promise rankings. It just analyzes public information and reflects how consistently AI systems might understand an entity.

I’d really appreciate thoughts from other builders and makers here, especially:

  • whether this problem resonates with you

  • what feels useful vs misleading in this space

  • where you think tools like this should stop
