Good Man

I built a Snowboard Selector to debug my own "Dad Bod" gear anxiety.

Hi Product Hunt! 🏂

I’m Michael, a dev from Israel and a father of two. Last month, I stood in a gear shop feeling completely lost. My "aerodynamics" (aka my weight) had changed since the pandemic, and my old specs no longer applied.

I realized that even with Google and YouTube, matching boot size to waist width and weight to flex for 50+ boards in 30 seconds is a nightmare. So, I decided to "debug" the process and built:

The "Real Talk" part: I recently posted this on Reddit and got roasted. Hard.

  1. I messed up my "pandemic math" (apparently, my brain is still in 2022).

  2. My algorithm was a total Jones Flagship fanboy.

Is it just a ChatGPT prompt? Nope. While I use AI to help polish my English (because I'm a dev, not a writer), the tool itself runs on a hard-coded database and math logic. It calculates real specs like weight-to-flex and boot-to-waist ratios to keep you from buying a "wet noodle".

I’ve already released Hotfix v1.1 based on Reddit feedback—adding undercover legends like the Wired Arc and fixing the brand bias.

I’m here for more roasts. Tell me what’s broken, what brands are missing, or if the math holds up for your setup!
