I built MyInterview because I used to freeze in every interview, here's what changed

byβ€’

Hey guys πŸ‘‹

I'm the founder of MyInterview, and I built this because I lived the problem.

My Story

Early in my career, I used to freeze in interviews. Not because I didn't know the answers, I did. But the moment I sat across from an interviewer, my mind would go blank. The embarrassment after each failed interview was crushing. And the worst part? I felt completely alone in it.

What eventually saved me wasn't a course or a book. It was repetition. I started treating every real interview as practice. Rejection stopped being failure and started being data. Slowly, interview by interview, the anxiety became manageable. Then it disappeared.

In the last 4 years, I've landed 5 high-paying engineering jobs.

Why I Built This

Here's what still bothers me: when I was struggling, AI didn't exist. My only option was to grind through real interviews and absorb the rejection. That costs time, confidence, and sometimes opportunities you don't get back. That's why I built MyInterview.

93% of engineers experience mental freeze in interviews. Not because they're not good enough, but because anxiety is a skill problem, not a knowledge problem. Nobody was treating it that way.

What MyInterview Does

  • AI mock interviews for behavioral & technical questions

  • STAR method feedback

  • A progress dashboard that shows your confidence growing over time

  • Start free with 3 interviews - no credit card needed

If you've ever walked out of an interview knowing you knew the answer but couldn't say it, this is for you.

Would love your upvote and any feedback. I read every comment. πŸ™ Nek

Relatable story! Freezing up in interviews is so common...love how you're using AI mocks, STAR feedback, and repetition to build confidence. I'll give it a try.

If you're up for it, I'm launching The Sponge on PH soon...an AI-powered flashcard app that turns webpages into study material with spaced repetition to make knowledge stick. Would appreciate a follow (See PRODUCT HUNT LAUNCH link in profile).
