I got tired of juggling 7+ dashboards to debug production.. So I built Overcast.

At work, I was constantly switching between seven different dashboards and internal log viewers just to figure out what went wrong in production.

By the time I had all the logs open, stitched them together, and tried to make sense of what actually happened... It was already too late.

I often caught myself thinking:

“It’d be great if I had an assistant to do all this for me.”😆

But, of course, that kind of tool was way outside the company budget.

The frustration really hit during urgent incidents. When every minute mattered, but most of my time went into just finding the problem, not fixing it.

So I did what most engineers eventually do: I decided to fix the problem myself.

It uses AI agents to correlate logs, metrics, and patterns, basically doing the detective work so you don’t have to.
