Hey Everyone, posting now but will answer questions early pacific time once I'm awake. Happy to chat about why and how we made the extension.

Our motivation is that phishing is the cause of 90% of breaches yet all we do is security training (to nebulous effect) and block-lists which are always out of date. With a torrent of vibe-coded phishing sites on the way we need better tools to thwart the phishing threat.

Stingray uses an in-browser AI-Agent to detect phishing tells on new, less popular, sites you visit to keep you safe.

That’s an interesting project, phishing is getting scarily convincing these days. I’d definitely like to see how Stingray performs in real-world browsing. Will it eventually support browsers beyond Chrome (like Safari or Firefox)?

@george_esther We're working on Safari right now, but the "Apple Tax" slows that. The biggest piece of feedback we've got so far is that people want it on mobile safari since that's the most common scam point so we're focused on that.
