I usually do hardware but I spent my weekend building a chrome extension
Hey everyone, I've been lurking on Product Hunt for a while now but I finally decided to actually post something. This is my first time really building in public and it's honestly kind of terrifying putting your work out there like this.
I'm actually an EE major so I usually spend my time tinkering with circuits or more theoretical stuff, but I really wanted to create something that actually helps people out in their day to day. I feel like I just wanted to contribute something useful to the world instead of just thinking about it.
The project is called AutoPrompt (autoprompt.framer.wiki) and it's a chrome extension I've been working on. It basically helps you turn those quick, half-baked thoughts into actual prompts that work. I built in some context-awareness so it remembers what you were talking about recently, mostly because I got tired of re-explaining my projects to ChatGPT every five minutes.
Anyway, I'm just getting started and trying to figure out the whole distribution side of things. If anyone else is a first-time builder or coming from a non-CS background like me I'd love to chat.
