In the middle of our first PH launch (ReadyBase) - AMA

We launched ReadyBase on PH today!
https://www.producthunt.com/products/readybase

Trying an AMA to maybe help us get a few more upvotes (please!!!).

Potential topics to discuss in this thread (but open to anything):

First PH Launch: Everything is new for us. We're learning a ton.

Developing ReadyBase: We have a small team, I basically built the entire app.

ReadyBase Technicals: It's a unique project because we don't let the AI to use templates to generate PDFs.

AMA!

Hey Hayden! Been a big fan of ReadyBase :)

What are some wild use cases you’ve seen customers to use the tool for?

Hayden Harrow
@thisiskp_ the diversity has been crazy! So many creative use cases stand out. One of my favorite categories is when users drop in their best practices for certain domains, and get an organized PDF back they can reference. In that category alone we’ve seen generations like what to watch for when investing in first-edition Pokémon cards, the Subject Line Hall of Fame for marketing emails, and customer closing tips based on zodiac signs!

@hayden_harrow closing tips based on Zodiac signs? That’s just hilarious

Congrats on shipping ReadyBase, Hayden! 🚀 First launches are always a whirlwind, but it sounds like you’ve got something unique here. I’m curious about two things:

No-template PDFs — that’s an interesting constraint. How did you technically pull this off, and what made you decide to go that route instead of a template-based approach?

PH launch learnings so far — anything you wish you had prepped differently before launch day?

Also, big respect for building almost the entire app yourself. That’s founder grit right there.

Really interesting that ReadyBase doesn’t rely on templates to generate PDFs. How did you technically implement this approach, and what were the main challenges you faced building a template-free system?
