Launching Cartinel next week – a browser extension that helps you pause before impulse purchases!
Hey Product Hunt community! 👋
I'm Marc, and I'm launching Cartinel on Product Hunt next week. I wanted to share a bit about what we're building and why.
The problem I kept running into:
I'd be browsing online, find something cool, add it to cart, and before I knew it, I'd clicked "buy now." Minutes later, I'd think "wait... did I really need that?" By then it was too late, and I'd spent money that should've gone toward things I actually cared about.
Sound familiar?
What we built:
Cartinel is a browser extension (Chrome & Firefox) that gently interrupts you before you complete a purchase. It's not about guilt or blocking you – it's about giving you a moment to pause and ask yourself: "Does this align with my goals right now?"
The extension shows you:
Your financial goals and progress
How this purchase fits your budget
A friendly reminder to reflect (no judgment!)
Plus, AI automatically categorizes everything and tracks your spending, so there's no manual logging.
Why I'm excited to share this with you:
I think a lot of us struggle with the "buy now, regret later" cycle, especially with how easy online shopping has become. I wanted to build something that helps without being preachy or restrictive.

I'd love your thoughts:
Does this resonate with you?
What would make this more valuable?
Any features you'd want to see?
We're planning to launch in three days, and the first 500 users will get grandfathered in at $4.99/month with unlimited everything.
I'll drop the link here when we go live.
Would really appreciate your support! 🙏
