I'm launching FamilyGPT on November 18th at 12:01 AM PST, and I want to share why I built this.
My Story:
I'm a parent who loves technology, but I was terrified to let my kids use ChatGPT. I wanted them to benefit from AI's learning potential, but mainstream tools weren't designed for children. No content filters, no parental controls, and no way to align responses with our family's values.
So I built FamilyGPT.
What It Does:
FamilyGPT is an AI chat platform built specifically for families. Here's what I've included:

Family values alignment: Customize responses to match your Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or secular humanist worldview (or a custom one)
Parent dashboard: Monitor conversations, set limits, get alerts

Why This Matters:
Instead of blocking kids from AI entirely, I wanted to give them a safe space to explore, learn, and grow with technology that respects their family's values. My own kids have been testing it, and seeing them ask questions and learn without me worrying has been incredible.
