Launching in a Few Days — Here’s the Story Behind It

I’ve been building the product I’ll be launching on Select.supply for the last 3 months, trying to solve one annoying problem: how to quickly discover and share beautifully designed, high-quality products that rarely show up on mainstream shopping platforms.

The hardest part so far has been nailing down the product curation algorithm, I spent weeks testing which signals actually predict whether a product is “select-worthy,” and kept discarding entire recommendation flows.

The breakthrough moment came when I realized that combining expert-selected products with community voting produced far better results than any pure-algorithmic feed. Once I implemented that hybrid approach, the product discovery experience felt magical and genuinely useful.
