Launching on Jan 1st (New Year's Day). Crazy or Genius?

Hey Makers! 👋 

We made a bold decision to launch my new product, Expense6, on January 1st, 2026. 

Our logic: 

1. It’s an expense tracker, so it matches the "New Year's Resolution" mindset perfectly. 

2. Competition from big tech companies will be low on a holiday. 

3. We are based in Melbourne, so We'll be awake running the launch while the US sleeps off NYE. 

The Risk: Traffic might be lower than a standard Tuesday launch. 

Has anyone here launched on a major public holiday? Did the lack of competition outweigh the lower traffic?
