Quick tips to grow your business with videos
Hello Product hunters and builders!
I’ve been editing video for 25+ years and keep seeing the same blocker for entrepreneurs and small businesses: talking-head videos feel slow and fiddly. Here’s the fastest workflow (5 x 3min) I use and teach:
1) Script (3 min)
Hook (first 5s): state a problem your audience has.
Value: How you solve the problem?
CTA: Clear next step what you want the viewer to do.
2) Setup (3 min)
Lighting is SUPER important. Facing a window is the easiest way.
Audio is the second most important. Find a quiet room, check the echo.
3) Record (3 min)
One authentic take, don’t chase perfection (fix that in edit).
Confidence comes from speaking a bit slower and louder.
4) Edit with SpeechCut (3 min)
Edit by transcript: remove fillers, false starts, rambles. Make it TIGHT.
Tweak captions, colors, music if you want.
5) Publish (3 min)
Platform-specific caption, 3–5 hashtags where relevant.
Reply to every comment in the first hour, even just tiny low-info replies boosts the algorithm.
If you want, I can tailor this into a mini checklist for your niche. Happy to help!

@sydney_layne1 Yeah.. If the hook doesn't hook (pun intended) the viewer to step inside, the rest of the video will never be seen.
that's a good simple advice... never have I ever tried SpeechCut before though..

@akash_03 Thanks! Yeah I've been doing this for quite a while, but the editing vs perfect take chasing has been the painpoint, which SpeechCut now solves quite nicely.
@juuso_kaari sounds good.
