RedactFlow – Blur & Pixelate Photos and Videos

Hey everyone 👋

I’m an indie iOS developer and I just launched my new app: RedactFlow: Blur & Pixelate.

The idea came from something super simple —
I kept sharing screenshots with private info without realizing it.

Emails, names, random details…
You think it’s fine, then you notice too late.

I tried existing tools but they were either:

• too complicated

• too slow

• or required uploading content somewhere

So I built something for myself first:

→ Pick a photo or video
→ Add a region
→ Blur / pixelate / cover
→ Done in seconds

That’s it.

No accounts
No uploads
No tracking

Everything runs fully on-device.

One unexpected thing I noticed while building it:
this isn’t just for privacy.

Content creators actually need this a lot —
cleaning screenshots, hiding UI details, preparing visuals before posting.

So it ended up being both:

• a privacy tool

• and a creator tool

It’s a small, focused app — but that’s the point.
