Tired of replying to app reviews? I built Rewo.
Hey everyone đź‘‹
Matt here, founder of Rewo. I love building tools I actually need for myself—and it’s even more exciting if they turn out useful for other indie devs.
I built Rewo because replying to app store reviews is repetitive, easy to procrastinate on, and yet really important. Don’t get me wrong: reviews are important, they deserve responses, and you NEED to get the customer insight, but doing it fully manually becomes painful. I tried templates and copy/paste (boring, generic, slow) and even first-pass AI prompts—but that approach didn’t work. It still required too much manual work, tweaking, and copy/pasting. There was no automation.
Then I discovered Astro, and it clicked. Astro solves one narrow, annoying part of ASO well—focused, affordable, no clutter. I wanted the same for review management. So I built Rewo: a proper tool that uses AI under the hood, but with full configuration, automation, and control. It’s not just “paste a prompt and hope for the best”, it
automatically pulls in reviews
drafts thoughtful responses
schedules them for publishing
and lets you approve, customize or step in any time you want
Since launching, Rewo has already replied to hundreds of reviews, saving time and keeping responses consistent.
It’s live and ready to go, but I’m sharing it here before the official Product Hunt launch to get feedback from other indie devs.
How do you handle app store reviews and responses today?
