Tools we used to create our launch video and images
Here's a few tools we used to make the images and videos for today's launch.
#1 Riverside
This is actually the platform we use to record, edit and host our podcast, but it turned out to be super useful for making our demo video too. Having the ability to edit the transcript live and see the video update in real time is a lifesaver.
#2 ScreenStudio
ScreenStudio seems like to go-to for product demo videos, of which we needed a lot. Trophy has quite a few individual features that we wanted to showcase, so being able to quickly record and edit clips was super useful.
#3 Google Slides
Bit of a weird one but imo Google Slides is underrated. We could have used Figma or something similar to create the gallery images but to be honest there's too much config. Google Slides took way less time and having the option to download slides as PNG's made it super simple.
#4 Shots[dot]so
This is a great tool for quickly creating mockups of product screenshots with nice looking backgrounds and borders. We used this to capture screenshots of the Trophy dashboard and then embedded these into the Google Slides deck.

Thanks for sharing this, @charlie_hb , super helpful 🙌
We’re about to launch in a few weeks, and this came at the perfect time. Really glad you shared the exact tools and how you used them. Definitely stealing a few ideas from here 😄
Best of luck with the launch of Trophy.

@rashiaroraofficial The video was for sure the most time consuming part, so try to give yourself more than 24 hours, unlike me...
Love this breakdown. We’ve had a similar experience — using “non-obvious” tools like Google Slides often beats heavier design tools when speed matters. Curious: which of these saved you the most time during the launch crunch?
