Turning family memories into something more lasting. Would love your early thoughts
Hi everyone,
I am launching The Archivist tomorrow on Product Hunt. It started after a conversation with my dad about some old photos. Since then it has grown into something quite special.
The Archivist is a simple family memory app that uses AI to help people record and preserve their stories.
What it does
You speak naturally and the app transcribes and interprets the memory
You can add photos from Google Photos
It builds a living archive of your family stories
It helps you connect events, relationships, places and people
It is designed to feel calm, personal and very easy to use
Why I made it
Most tools for family history feel quite complicated or admin-heavy. Social platforms feel noisy and short lived.
I wanted something more human, something my kids and parents could use without any friction. And something that makes it easy to capture a moment in time before it slips away.
What I would love from you
I would really appreciate honest feedback before the launch tomorrow. I am especially interested in hearing about:
Whether the idea resonates
Whether the positioning makes sense
Anything that feels confusing or missing
What might stop you signing up
You can take a look here if you are curious - it's free to sign up:

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I am happy to answer any questions about the idea or the build.
Noel
