We achieved global 5 million downloads, and I'm the only marketer on the team.

It's amazing that we're now backed by Goodwater Capital. When I joined, we were just a small startup. And yet, I'm still the first and only marketer on this team.

During my tenure, the marketing team has averaged 1.7 full-time employees. In other words, excluding interns, I've been working alone for quite a long time.

Despite this, our team achieved significant results. We didn't use any agencies. All media operations were done in-house, including content creation. No agency wanted to take us on when we shared our goals, which were actually just slightly higher than our current results.

This is how I managed to deliver high performance while doing the work of several people:

1. I'm an engineer-turned-marketer with unique data and coding skills. GPT and Cursor boosted these abilities.

2. I've been using GPT for coding from the beginning. Also, I used Cursor first, even before our developers. With that, I automated everything. At my previous company, I automated so much that one role was eliminated. At this company too, I've coded everything that produces consistent results regardless of who handles it.

3. Simple tasks with MAKE, complex ones with custom code. This allowed me to run analysis on one monitor while code ran on another, and analyze ad references on a third.

4. This generated many hypotheses, and to test them quickly, we produced and tested 3-4 video sets per day. Through various analyses and research, we created the most efficient templates and trained interns with them, enabling them to achieve junior marketer-level results.

Obviously, these experiments weren't just marketing team efforts—the results came from the contributions of other excellent team members and their own innovative experiments. I mention this so you don't think this is everything our team did.
