We launch tomorrow — here's the uncomfortable truth about AI social media tools
I've been building Beacon for the last 4 months. Just me and Claude Code. No team. No funding.
Tomorrow we launch on Product Hunt, and I want to be honest about something before we do.
Most AI social media tools are fancy schedulers with a GPT wrapper bolted on. They generate generic content that sounds like every other AI post in your feed. You've seen them — the posts that start with "In today's fast-paced world..." or end with "What do you think? Drop a comment below!"
That's not what we built.
Beacon is an authority engine. The difference matters: Schedulers help you post more. Authority engines help you post content that actually sounds like you wrote it — because the AI studied how you think, what you know, and what makes your perspective different.
Here's the stack:
- FingerPrint analyzes your existing writing and learns your voice — sentence structure, vocabulary, rhythm
- DNA encodes your expertise, your stories, your angles into a strategy layer
- AutoPilot generates, schedules, and publishes across 6 platforms without you touching it
- Mira is your AI assistant who knows your entire account and guides everything
And one thing I'm proud of: we publish through official platform APIs only. No browser extensions. No automation scripts. Zero ban risk. In a space where 23% of automation users get restricted within 90 days, that matters.
We also built something I haven't seen anywhere else — an AI voice agent named Natasha who can answer questions about the product live, on a call. She's available on our launch page if you want to try her.
Tomorrow we're offering 50 lifetime copies at $199 (Team tier — normally $149/month). Product Hunt exclusive.
I'll be in the comments all day. Ask me anything about the build, the tech, or the approach.
See you tomorrow.
— Derek
