What was the catalyst for you to start building your own product?

I've been a long-time lurker / Casper the Friendly Ghost like many others for a while and it's so nice meeting fellow builders. I want to know what was the catalyst or the trigger where you thought "I'm going to build something and put it out there."

For me - it happened after 9 years as a data engineer. I spent months building a massive end to end system for a launch, only to see the product take a different direction. I realised that I didn't want to just build systems but I wanted to build products that actually solved problems for people.

I'd love to hear your "trigger" moment. XD
