Why can we generate video in 2025 but not real fonts? So I built YoFont

by

2025:

AI creates cinematic video, music, 3D worlds, digital humans, voice synthesis.

But fonts?

You ask for TTF/OTF, and you get an image. 😐

Not a file.
Not a font.
Just a picture of letters.

And I'm like:

“Are you kidding me?”

So I built YoFont.

What YoFont can do right now 🚀

  • Prompt → real .TTF / .OTF / .WOFF / .WOFF2

  • Works in Figma, Photoshop, Premiere, CapCut, Web, mobile — everywhere
No images. No SVG packs. A real installable font.

  • Glyph editing via command
“Make thicker”, “Sharpen the endings”, “Add ears”, “Soften corners”

  • Generate a font based on a reference
Upload an image of how the glyphs look → YoFont creates a new font in a similar style with ultra-similar glyphs, but not a copy —
new vectors, new kerning, new structure.
Glyphs, proportions, kerning, contours — everything is rebuilt from scratch, so the result is a new font, inspired by the reference.

Export: TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2

Available languages:

Latin

  • 🇺🇸 English
    🇫🇷 French
    🇪🇸 Spanish
    🇩🇪 German
    🇮🇹 Italian

Cyrillic

  • 🇷🇺 Russian
    🇺🇦 Ukrainian
    🇧🇾 Belarusian
    🇧🇬 Bulgarian
    🇷🇸 Serbian
    🇲🇰 Macedonian

Other

  • 🇨🇳 Chinese (Kangxi radical support)

  • 🇯🇵 Japanese

  • 🇰🇷 Korean

  • 🇦🇪 Arabic

  • 🇮🇱 Hebrew

  • 🇮🇳 Hindi (Devanagari)

  • 🇬🇷 Greek

Are there flaws? Of course. 😎

  • complex ligatures can be stubborn

  • rare generations might need manual review

  • automatic kerning sometimes needs tuning for specific design requirements

But let's be honest:

It already beats 99% of what exists on the market.

Example — let’s create a floral font 🌸

You write a simple prompt:

A font where each letter resembles a flower, minimalist style, one line drawing, ultra thin

Click Generate → you get:

✅ Vector glyphs
✅ .TTF, .OTF, .WOFF, .WOFF2
✅ A font you just install and use
I didn't change anything specifically after generation. Here's a link you can check out. It's the original version of the font, without any glyph changes as per the prompt above. Here's the link -> https://yofont.com/font/floralwhisper-1

Then you say:

“Add small branches”

“Remove the leaves”

And the glyph transforms. Clean. No pain.

How to write a correct prompt (cheatsheet) ✍️

[mood] + [letter form] + [stroke thickness] + [details] + [proportions] + [usage]

Examples:

Round floral solid font, thick fill, petal curves, tiny leaves at terminals, medium width, readable at small sizes

Cute flower font, bold strokes, soft petals instead of corners, optimized for video titles

Make a beautiful font — bro, YoFont is not a mind reader

Style-by-reference example — The Godfather movie poster 🎬

You look at the legendary poster and think:

“I want a font with this vibe — strict, cinematic, dramatic serif tension.”

What you do:

1. Upload the reference (the poster or the lettering)

2. Write a prompt ↓

"Cinematic serif font inspired by classic mafia-movie posters"

3. YoFont creates a new font where:

✅ the Godfather vibe is recognizable
✅ but every letter is new
✅ curves and structure are rebuilt from scratch
✅ kerning and contours are original
✅ you can use it in projects without feeling like it's stolen

4. You can fine-tune instantly:

“Sharpen the serifs, make letters narrower, increase stroke contrast”

or

“Soften serifs, add more spacing, calmer look”

It’s not a copy → it’s creating a new font based on the reference’s visual DNA.

Rule I follow with YoFont:

You don’t get a copy of someone else’s font.
You get a new font with similar character.

My job is to give you a tool, not a legal problem.

Free fonts on the homepage 🎁

You can:

  • download

  • install

  • inspect how it’s built

  • use anywhere (personal & commercial)

License is open for them.

Why only companies right now 😈

Short version:

I’m testing this in battle mode, not a sandbox.

Long version:

  1. I need real problems, not fantasy prompts

  2. Companies give structured technical feedback

  3. I’m stabilizing the system so it DOESN’T fall apart

  4. Fonts must hold up in real production pipelines

After stress-testing with corporate clients, I’ll release:

  • affordable monthly plans

  • accessible to individuals, not just teams

  • no bureaucracy, no NDA

It’s coming. I just don’t want to break everything too early.

But I won’t leave you without access.

Final

I didn’t plan to build a font startup.

I just wanted a normal font.

Couldn’t find one.

So I made it myself.

Enjoy.
