Why I built an AI tarot reader that doesn't pretend to be magical
Hey! I'm Tomasz, solo founder of aimag.me - launching tomorrow.
▎ Quick backstory: I was fascinated by how people use tarot not for fortune-telling, but as a psychological mirror — a tool for self-reflection. Most AI tarot apps lean into mysticism theater. I wanted to build the opposite: an honest AI interpreter that treats tarot as what it actually is - a framework for exploring your own thinking.
▎ What makes it different:
- Psychology-first approach (80% reflection, 20% mystical flavor)
- 78 cards × 23 spreads × 7 languages
- No dark patterns, no "your future is in danger" manipulation
- Freemium with real value on free tier
Built solo with PHP (zero frameworks), multi-model AI pipeline, and a lot of coffee.
Question for the community: Would you use a tarot app if it was explicitly framed as a self-reflection tool rather than divination? Curious where the line is for you.
Launching tomorrow — would love your support! 🎴
