Worried About AI Listening to Your Meetings?
We’ve become surprisingly comfortable inviting AI into our most private conversations. AI meeting assistants are everywhere now. They join our calls, record everything, transcribe everything, and summarize everything. But here’s what I keep thinking about: it’s not just founders discussing roadmaps. Doctors are speaking with patients and sharing deeply sensitive medical information. Lawyers are discussing confidential cases. Architects are reviewing multi-million-dollar budgets with clients. HR leaders are talking about salaries and performance reviews. In many of these conversations, highly sensitive PII is being discussed — and we’re letting third-party AI systems record and store all of it, sometimes indefinitely.
Genuinely want to understand:
How do you personally think about AI “listening” to your meetings?
Is convenience worth the trade-off?
