Would a simple project manager for solo workers make sense?

by•

Hi everyone đź‘‹

I’m working on an experiment - a minimalist productivity app built for solo workers, not teams.

Most tools today (Notion, ClickUp, Basecamp) are amazing, but they assume you’re collaborating.

When you work alone, all those roles, comments, permissions, and templates just get in the way.

So I simplified everything down to one concept:

đź’ˇ Everything is a Page đź’ˇ.

A Page can be a project, a task (if it has a due date), or a note.

Each Page can contain other Pages - so your structure grows naturally.

On each Page you can:

  • Set a status (draft / in progress / done / archived)

  • Add notes or comments

  • Attach files

  • See all child pages below - tasks, subprojects, or related notes

The goal: to replace 3–4 different tools (task manager, CRM, notes app) with one calm workspace for individual creators, freelancers, or solo founders.

I’d love to hear your thoughts:

  • Would a single-entity model like this make your workflow easier or confusing?

  • What’s missing for you to use it daily?

  • Should it stay this simple, or grow with more structure (tags, filters, dashboards)?

Appreciate any feedback - even “no, this wouldn’t work for me” helps!
