Best VAT Calculator for UK? (Also GST Calculator NZ Users Welcome!)

Hey everyone,
I wanted to start a quick discussion about VAT calculations because I’ve noticed a lot of people—especially new freelancers and small business owners—struggle with working out the correct VAT amounts for invoices and product pricing.

Lately I’ve been using an online VAT calculator for the UK, and honestly it makes life so much easier. Just enter the net or gross amount, pick the VAT rate (20%, 5%, or 0%), and it instantly shows you:

• VAT added

• VAT removed

• Net → Gross

• Gross → Net

Super useful for eCommerce setups, accounting, or even quick price checks.

Side note for international users:

If anyone here deals with New Zealand clients or exports, I also came across a really helpful GST Calculator NZ for calculating the 15% GST. It works similarly and is great for cross-border billing or comparing UK VAT vs NZ GST.
