YC deadline in <2 weeks; Who's applying?

by

If you're applying, reply below with what you're building so we can cheer you on!

If you're doing a startup and not applying, why aren't you applying?

If I were starting a company today, I would 100% apply even though I've done it before with @Tandem (S19) for a few key reasons:

  1. The partners help. A lot. (this isn't common. Most people who say they help startups are neutral or harmful)

  2. The network is insane, especially for b2b companies. It will accelerate your G2M like nothing else.

  3. You'll learn what real speed looks like, by grinding alongside the top early stage founders. Every time I talk to a current or recent YC company or go to the events, I'm reminded what top speed looks like. And I'm also reminded that the speed that start-ups are capable of gets faster every year, especially with AI.

As for hesitations...sometimes people balk at the dilution, but generally speaking, the higher price that startups command in their next round at Demo Day more than compensates.

Not sure if I will be ready with my product update until then, but if so I will apply for sure.
Thanks for the heads-up!

@attila_bogozi Apply anyway. Lots of companies get into yc pre-product.

I'm not sure yet. But if my products will confirm and I'm ready for that then i will.

@wadehead Many companies get into YC pre-product.

Building Nyra AI a growth copilot that lets founders launch, optimize, and scale ads without hiring a marketing team.

We are applying! The YC network + G2M focus is exactly the kind of momentum we’re looking for.

Applying with Stompven - We are building an AI powered smart wearable that proactively monitor heart rate, fatigue, and cardiac distress risks in real time, delivering instant team alerts with GPS for on-field response, real-time CPR guidance, and personalized recovery tips to prevent overexertion and cardiac emergencies, ensuring safer team sports directly on the field. We don't have traction yet and still building our MVP, my team did not work at FAANG, so i don't know if we would be accepted but i know that with YC network, we will be able to scale faster and connect to right networks and organisations. Is there anything i could do to improve our chance of acceptance, my application is still editable.

Not this batch! Glad to see they've opened up more batches per year though.

Based on what I've seen & read from YC, they essentially require a technical co-founder. Even though with the state of no-code or AI tools, a non-technical founder like myself can still build something of value if they have enough domain experience (albeit not as fast.)

We did applied in the last batch, unfortunately didn't make it through, we will be retrying in the next batch, we are trying to build a no resume job board, that works on evaluating people based on their skills and not what they write on a piece of paper and matching them to right jobs, while also giving access to employers to make easy hackathons to attract more talent.

We have made significant growth since our last application, hoping to get an interview this time. Any advice for us @rajiv_ayyangar ?

Best,
Aakash

Is it possible to apply if you are the only founder (not technical) and there is no product yet?
And is it worth applying in this case?
