Zumie - Screen Studio-style recordings, right in Chrome

Zumie is a Chrome extension that makes screen recordings look edited. Auto zoom follows your clicks, and you get a smooth cursor, click effects, a keystroke overlay, webcam bubble and backgrounds on top. New since the last launch: auto zoom rebuilt to frame what you click, a styled cursor and click effects, full resolution on Retina and a faster export. Works on Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebook. No signup, nothing uploaded. Free with a watermark, or $49 once.

Hey PH, Daniel here, I made Zumie.

I launched it here about a year ago and got a lot of good feedback. Since then I spent most of my time fixing what people complained about, so this is kind of the "it actually works properly now" launch.

The idea is simple. You record a tab, and Zumie zooms in on what you click so the video looks like someone edited it. Screen Studio does this really well but it's Mac only and a subscription, and I wanted something that also works on Windows, Linux and Chromebooks.

What changed since the last launch:
- auto zoom is rebuilt from scratch. it now frames the button or field you clicked instead of chasing the mouse, and zooms out when you scroll
- smooth cursor, click effects and a keyboard overlay you can style
- full resolution on Retina screens and a much faster export

Everything runs in your browser, nothing gets uploaded and there's no account. The free version has all the editing features with a small watermark. Pro is $49 once (no subscription) and removes the watermark and unlocks HD exports.

I'll be here all day, happy to answer anything. And if the zoom does something dumb on your recording, tell me, that's the part I care about most.
