What's great
it's such a simple idea but it actually works - the ducks dive when I dive, live depth and all, not just a canned animation. the free tier alone (yellow ducks) is worth installing just to see your watch's depth sensor do something other than sit unused. the paid scenes are a cheap add if you want variety, but the free version isn't a stripped-down demo, it's the real mechanic
What needs improvement
would love some way to see past dives - right now once the ducks surface that dive is gone, no log of your deepest one this week or this trip. even a tiny history screen would turn it from a one-off party trick into something you'd actually check every day
vs Alternatives
Watch PlannerWatch Planner is solving a completely different problem (custom workouts), it just came up as similar in the sidebar. Plask isn't really competing with anything, it's the only app I've seen that treats the depth sensor as a toy instead of a fitness stat

We have already done some work towards presenting a dive report after each session. Storing these in an archive for browsing would be simple and it's a great idea. There will also be some more fun features coming that are designed to keep you entertained in between swims so stay tuned!

@yashekbote Oh, I have so many ideas! Midsommar is a good one. I am also thinking about a duck hunt-themed scene, but please don't tell my ducks. I would like to do something with Regalskeppet Vasa (the Swedish warship that sank on its maiden voyage in the 17th century) and I really want to do something with a Norwegian Blue parrot that is pining for the fjords!

love the idea of actually using the depth sensor for something other than diving logs nobody looks at twice. question though - I've got a regular Series 9, not an Ultra or Series 10+. is demo mode basically the whole experience for me (crown-driven water, no real depth data at all) or is there some lesser version that still reacts to being near water/humidity even without the proper sensor

@galdayan Hi! For now, the main feature is the water and depth detection that comes with the sensors on the newer watches and Ultras. Older watches will have to settle with the demo mode - but it's perfectly possible to open the demo mode, turn on the water lock, and go for a swim! You just won't get real depth measurement.
The next version will bring a fun feature that doesn't require sensors or waters, so keep an eye out!

@danni_efraim that's a fair tradeoff honestly - crown-driven water lock plus the demo mode is enough to not feel left out. good to hear the next feature won't gate on the sensor at all, that opens it up to way more of your userbase than just Ultra/Series 10+ owners. will keep an eye out for it
