ChatGPT and Claude Context Transfer
Launched this week
Switch your context between Claude and ChatGPT in minutes
I show a practical workflow for moving useful context from Claude to ChatGPT without copying your full chat history. First, I export what Claude knows from memory and past chats, review outdated details, and turn the useful parts into a portable Markdown profile. Then I upload that profile to a new ChatGPT chat, check what it understood, and update the memory I want ChatGPT to keep. The goal is to avoid starting from zero whenever you switch assistants.

Hi Product Hunt 👋
This video shows a practical workflow for taking the context Claude already knows and moving the useful parts into ChatGPT.
I start from Claude’s Import Memory page, use the official export prompt in a new Claude chat, and review what comes back. Then I clean outdated details, create a portable Markdown profile, and use ChatGPT to verify it before requesting a memory update.
The workflow covers:
- Exporting context from Claude memory and past chats
- Cleaning outdated or private details before transfer
- Creating a reusable AI Context Profile in Markdown
- Uploading the profile in a new ChatGPT chat
- Reviewing what ChatGPT understands before updating memory
The final result gives ChatGPT a clearer starting point, so I need to repeat less about my writing preferences, projects, and workflow.
