Reviewers see Alfred as an essential Mac utility that often replaces Spotlight because it feels faster, broader, and easier to use day to day. They repeatedly praise quick app and web search, keyboard shortcuts, snippets or text expansion, clipboard history, and workflows that automate routine tasks. Several say it becomes one of the first apps they install and hard to live without once adopted. Criticism is scarce; the only clear reservation is that one long-time user felt the jump from version 4 to 5 was not especially worth the upgrade.

Hi Jared, Alfred co-founder Vero here :)
Typing = (equal) will show the result of the equation in-line, which is particularly useful mid-calculation.
You can also enable query history in Alfred's Advanced preferences > History > check both "Store typed query" and "Show latest query if within 5 minutes" so that you can pop away from Alfred and come back to continue your calculation.
Use the up arrow to go back to previous search queries / calculations if it's been longer than 5 minutes.
