Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Sudip, the maker of Amplitron.
I built Amplitron because I wanted a high-quality guitar amp and pedalboard setup without spending a fortune on physical gear or expensive software licenses. I call it the "poor man's guitar amp," but under the hood, it's a high-performance DSP engine designed to turn your computer into a professional guitar rig.
My main goal was speed and simplicity—getting the latency so low that it feels exactly like playing through a real physical amp.
🎸 Here is what makes Amplitron special:
Ultra-low latency: Processes audio at ~1.3ms (64-sample buffer) so there's no noticeable delay between strumming and hearing the output.
Studio-Quality Pedals: Includes Overdrive, Distortion, EQ, Compressor, Noise Gate, Chorus, Delay, Reverb, and a Cabinet Simulator.
Visual Pedalboard: A beautiful drag-and-drop interface (built with Dear ImGui) where you can freely arrange your signal chain.
Plug-and-Play: Auto-detects USB guitar cables and audio interfaces so you can just plug in and play.
100% Free & Open Source: Written purely in C++17.
