Sometimes the best products come from improving what already exists. The idea is simple. Before writing code, read the reviews. One thing I realised while building this is that a lot of product insight is already publicly available. It is just buried inside app store reviews.

If you are building an app, try looking at your competitors’ reviews on the App Store or Google Play.

Users constantly mention things like

• missing features

• frustrating UX

• bugs

• things they wish the product could do

The challenge is that going through thousands of reviews manually is incredibly time consuming.

That is actually the reason I built AppReviewLens in the first place. The goal is to make it easier to extract the useful insights from all that feedback.
