Hello everyone,
I'm Ayub, and I'm excited to introduce AutoRTL!
I read a lot, and one challenge I faced was that after translating a page into Persian, the layout would stay left-to-right, which made reading frustrating and sometimes confusing since Persian is a right-to-left language.
So, I built AutoRTL – an extension that automatically switches the page direction to right-to-left whenever a page is translated into a RTL language like Persian, Arabic, or Urdu.
Now, there's no need to manually add dir="rtl" to the page or spend extra time using other extensions to fix the layout.
I’d love to hear your feedback! 😍

Congrats on the launch! How does the extension handle pages with mixed text directions, like English and Arabic on the same page?

Thank you.
I believe there may be a misunderstanding.
AutoRTL is designed to activate only when you translate a webpage into a right-to-left language (such as Persian or Arabic) using Google’s built-in translator. It then automatically adjusts the page layout to RTL to align with the reading order of these languages. Prior to translation, it doesn’t alter the page in any way.
Such a simple yet brilliant solution! Been helping my Arabic-speaking friends with website translations for years, and the LTR layout always messes things up. AutoRTL is exactly what's been missing - love how it just works automatically without any manual tweaking. These are the kind of tools that make the web more accessible for everyone. Smart thinking, Ayub! 💡
