This is something we need so badly. Good luck, also, Clerk came out with some Stripe automation - can you tell how you're different?
Congrats on launch! its great how you wrapped metering + credits into a clean API.
I think PQL is: first usage event tracked → first entitlement check live → first shadow-bill run yeah?
If you ever add direct billing on top, I have few suggestions if you don't mind;
• Run 1 or 2 shadow cycles before going live so usage tracking matches what customers expect to see on invoices.
• Add a gentle in-app meter with early alerts, it could protect trust and make upgrades come naturally.
• Consider hybrid packaging (seat + usage) with a monthly minimum and volume breaks. Predictable for you, flexible for them.
Also, do teams use credits for internal cost tracking more or for end-customer pricing?

The moment you start using autumn, You won't go back. The DX is addictive.
Without autumn it would would take minimum a week to setup your stripe. With meterd pricing, credit tracking, it might take longer to get it to perfection. But with autumn, once you know it, you can finish setting it up within 30mins-1hour. Everything comes out of the box. There is no backend for you to manage.
Autumn is open source and works on top of your stripe account, so there is no lock in either.
Also, the team is highly skilled and approachable.
Just use autumn.
