I use AWS Cognito as an identity service for my clients and for my side projects. It's also a struggle to implement it from scratch. I've spent hours reading documentation and issues on stack overflow to get it right.
I created a javascript library and html modal templates to help add authentication for my projects really fast. A number of people have found it useful, so I cleaned it up, made it production ready and put it up on codester.
