Cardboard is an agentic video editor that gets you from raw footage to final cut in minutes. Think of it like an intelligent collaborator, one that understands what's in your clips, has the taste to know what a good edit looks like, and executes your vision.

The insight that video editing hasn't fundamentally changed in 25 years is spot on. The fact that PostHog, Airtable, and Google teams are already using this validates the "describe the edit, it executes" approach. Running in-browser with live collaboration is a huge advantage over desktop-only tools. For content creators who need to ship fast, eliminating the Premiere Pro learning curve while keeping professional output quality could be a game-changer. How does it handle complex multi-track audio syncing?
I am a Filmmaker, and started my career as a video editor, I have been hunting for a something that can that can make my life easier.
I may have seen the features in this as an individual tool in more shape and forms, what really stands out is, having one gateway to access them all and eventually take them to premiere or resolve.
Looking forward to seeing this product live up to the dream, also I would love to see more features added around sort, organise and set the timeline up for editor and leave the editor to take the final call, let the user decide theme and intent and build towards that, like if I want the vlog to be like a mockumentary it makes the vlog like a mockumentary or at least gives structure and a starting point to the the editor.
Congratulations to the team, looking forward ✨✨

Video editing has always felt like it was designed for people who do it professionally, not engineers who just need to put together a clear technical walkthrough. The ability to describe the edit in plain language and have the agent execute it sounds like it could get you to a usable first cut without the usual timeline frustration.
