Thanks Piyush! The accounting-app export is a fair ask, and it goes on the list. Today you can share any document, or a few merged into one PDF, straight to any app on the phone, which covers getting them to an accountant. A structured export for accounting tools would go further. Which app would you want it for first?

As an end user, I already have apps like Adobe scan or notes where I can keep my documents or notes.. how will this app save my time and provide better user experience?
@dipesh_khawaseΒ Thanks Dipesh! Fair question, and the honest answer is that Adobe Scan and Catadoc solve different halves of the problem.
Adobe Scan is great at capture. You end up with a clean PDF named something like Scan_2026-09-03. Three months later, finding the AC repair bill means remembering when you scanned it and scrolling.
Catadoc's job starts where the scanner's ends. When you scan, it reads the document on the phone itself and works out who it is from, what it cost, when it expires. So later you type "bills under 2000" the way you would say it out loud, and the document is just there. IDs that are about to expire surface on their own. And if it reads a value wrong, you tap it and fix it once, straight from the scan lines.
One more difference that matters to me personally: all that reading happens on the device. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account. Your passport never sits on my server or anyone else's.
Short version: a scanner saves the paper. Catadoc saves you the search.
