Most family safety apps mean live location sharing. Closer does the opposite. You and someone you trust set a check-in window. When it’s time, they unlock with a PIN and tap a shared confirmation number. If they miss it or tap need help, you get alerted. No map of their day. No continuous tracking. Just a clear signal that they’re okay, or that they need you. Android is live; iOS pre-register is open on the site.
Hey everyone!
Built Closer because a lot of “safety” apps just turn into location surveillance. I wanted something quieter for family and partners: scheduled Are you OK? check-ins, a shared confirmation number, and alerts only when something’s actually off.
No GPS. No feed of where someone has been all day.
Android is on Google Play now. iOS is coming, and you can pre-register on the site (lifetime Plus included).
Would love feedback, especially from anyone who’s tried Life360-style apps and hated the tracking vibe.
