Hey everyone 👋 Gufron here, maker of CostGuard. I built CostGuard after spending years managing AWS infrastructure and repeatedly seeing the same issue — companies paying for resources that were just… sitting idle. Things like: • EC2 instances running overnight with no traffic • RDS left on outside working hours • Autoscaling groups not scaling down properly Not because people don’t care — but because it’s hard to keep track continuously. CostGuard is my attempt to solve that in a simple way: • Automatically detect idle resources • Schedule start/stop based on usage • Give visibility across accounts without digging through billing dashboards It’s still early, and I’m actively improving it based on feedback. Does it detect idle resources based on CPU/network metrics or just uptime schedules? Would love to see anomaly detection for unexpected cost spikes too. Nice launch!
