Reviews of VentureStaking® by Doriot® praise its novel way to secure future investing rights while committing capital only after traction, highlighting lower risk and better alignment among founders and backers. Users say it widens access to early-stage investing, supports non-traditional founders, and encourages diversified portfolios. Many commend the team’s expertise and vision, calling the approach practical and timely. A developer notes it rethinks VC mechanics in a relatable, poker-like framework. Overall, sentiment centers on accessibility, incentive alignment, and potential to reshape early funding dynamics.
This is an absolute game-changer - putting the power of venture in the hands of many, in a way that feels refreshingly simple. I just bought my first $10 stake, and you should too. It only works if we do it together - grab your stake, and let’s change the rules of venture, for good!
what startups do you guys wish you could have invested in before they blew up?

Excited about VentureStaking! How do you vet founders early on, and will there be community-driven due diligence before exercising stakes?

@aj_123 great question! It's a three-step process. First, founders must get through Doriot's background check and due diligence. Second, they need to score a 70% or better on our Venture Exam—QAI—which demonstrates their understanding of how venture works for both investors and founders. Finally, their pitch is reviewed by the VentureStakers, who make the ultimate funding decision

This is genius—being able to lock in a spot before a startup blows up, but only paying later? Realy wish I had this years ago, fr. Makers crushed it!

@joey_zhu_seopage_ai Thank you for your enthusiastic support! This means the world to us - we built this so more people could finally get in before the rocket takes off, not after.
Really impressive reframing of early-stage investing — VentureStaking feels like it captures the spirit of angel investing while solving for its biggest pain points: high risk, low signal, and low accessibility.
One question I had: how do you envision balancing community enthusiasm with founder protection? Especially as creators and solo builders (vs. traditional founders) enter the fold, what safeguards are in place to prevent speculative hype from misaligning with a builder's pace or vision?
Loving the blend of Thiel, Kickstarter, and Wefunder DNA here. Looking forward to watching this grow. 👏

@charlie_bakos Doriot is where everyone comes together for the purpose of capital creation, grounded in the principles of shared risk, shared information, and shared prosperity. A VentureStaker®'s license is based, in part, on their behavior. What we need is constructive input—period.
Any behavior that crosses into personal attacks against a Founder—whether inside or outside the system—will first lead to a suspension, and then revocation of VentureStaking® privileges. Even if enforcing this means limiting our short-term growth, the integrity of the system is non-negotiable.
To help maintain this standard, we will use AI moderation tools to flag comments as green, yellow, or red. Simply put: if anyone wants to tear others down, they can go to social platforms. There will be a decorum
Really cool concept. Love how you're opening up early-stage investing and making it more aligned with founders. Congrats on the launch!
