I built Extractify because too much useful data is trapped inside screenshots, photos, and messy visual documents. In a lot of real workflows, the data is repetitive, but the format is not. One day it is a website screenshot, the next day a shelf photo, a PDF export, or a phone capture. That makes traditional scrapers, APIs, and rigid templates either overkill or impossible to use. I wanted something faster: define the columns you want, upload images, and get back a structured table you can actually work with. While building it, the main challenge was not just reading text. It was turning visual information into the right rows and columns in a way that stays useful across very different image types. That pushed the product toward a more flexible approach where the user defines the target structure first, and the extraction adapts to it. Extractify is the tool I wanted for all the times I thought: “this data is right there on the screen, why is it still so annoying to turn into a spreadsheet?”
