Okay this is surprisingly legit. I've tried like 5 face shape tools before and they all just tell you "you're oval" and link to some generic article. FaceShapeDetector actually told me I'm a mix of oval + diamond, which honestly makes so much more sense.
The 9 haircut previews on MY face is the killer feature — I could actually see what a curtain fringe would look like on me instead of imagining it on some Korean model lol. And the Barber Card is genius. I literally screenshotted it and showed it to my barber last week. He said "finally someone who knows what they want." 😂
$6.99 one-time for the full report felt like a no-brainer. No subscription traps. Solid product. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Huge congratulations on the launch. I completely agree that putting people into a single face shape category is too rigid. The Face Shape Blend concept makes perfect sense. Also, the Barber Card is a brilliant solution to the anxiety of trying to explain what you want to a stylist.
Since you asked what would make it more useful, I am curious how the AI handles existing facial hair like thick beards. Does it try to estimate the jawline underneath for the blend analysis and do the haircut previews factor in the beard style?
Wishing you a great launch day.
@silaswright Thanks so much, Silas! Really appreciate the kind words 🙏
Great question about beards! Currently, the AI does its best to estimate the underlying jawline even with facial hair — it analyzes bone structure landmarks rather than just the skin surface. That said, thick beards can affect blend accuracy, especially for jawline-heavy shapes like Square vs. Oval.
As for haircut previews — they focus on the top/sides of the hair, so beard style isn't factored in yet. But you're touching on something we've been thinking about: a "beard style guide" paired with the face shape result would make the Barber Card even more complete. Adding it to the roadmap! 🎯
Thanks for the thoughtful feedback — exactly the kind of thing that helps us improve.
