FastAPI's async-first architecture with Pydantic validation and automatic OpenAPI generation helped a lot without implementing things manually. We're handling thousands of concurrent requests with really good response times. The dependency injection makes our service layer clean, while the built-in middleware stack handles CORS, authentication, and request context out of the box. Also, the automatic type checking and validation have caught bugs before they hit production.

I don't really think about the fastapi very much in the project, which I think is the whole point. It's easy to generate a typed API client, and easy to keep the project organized. It sufficiently just works that I will continue to reach for it.

Switched from Flask to FastAPI because I found myself mainly using API endpoints with my Svelte SPA, also FastAPI's docs were way better, clearer and more didactic, than Flask's, especially for the beginner that i was. Felt like FastAPI's docs were actually treating me like a human, and I thank them for that.
