Hey Product Hunt 👋 We’re launching FieldPie AI Route Optimization.
Field teams don’t lose time during the job — they lose it between jobs: traffic, poor sequencing, last-minute changes, and manual planning. We built AI Route Optimization to turn a messy day into a clear, executable plan.
What it does
Auto-builds the best route order for multiple stops
Optimizes for shorter drive time and more completed visits
Handles multi-region and high-stop days (store visits, audits, service calls)
Adapts to your priorities (e.g., must-visit locations, time windows, team assignments)
Why it matters
Less drive time → lower costs
More stops completed → higher revenue
More predictable ETAs → better customer experience
Less planning effort → faster dispatch
Who it’s for
Merchandising teams, field service, audits, sales reps, logistics ops—anyone doing multi-stop field work.
If you try it, I’d love your feedback:
What route rules do you need most (time windows, priorities, territories)?
What’s the biggest pain in your daily planning today?
Thanks for checking it out 🙌
@marketing_fieldpie Gave it a try today. What stood out for me is how much manual thinking it removes from daily planning.
Most of the time loss really happens between jobs, not during them. Especially when priorities change during the day, planning can get messy fast.
Time windows and must-visit locations are the rules we care about most. If those work well, everything else becomes easier. Nice work.
@marketing_fieldpie I’ve been testing this for a bit and it actually reflects real life in the field. Planning usually falls apart when priorities change or when you’re juggling too many stops.
What I liked most is that it takes the mental load out of sequencing routes. Once time windows and must-visit locations are set, the rest just makes sense. That alone saves a lot of daily back-and-forth.
@marketing_fieldpie From an operations perspective, this is useful because it creates a plan teams can actually follow. A lot of route tools look good on paper but fall apart once the day starts. What worked for us is how quickly it recalculates when things change. Instead of rethinking the whole day, we just adjust priorities and move on. That kind of flexibility is what’s usually missing in daily field planning.
@marketing_fieldpie That’s exactly the problem we were trying to solve.
You’re spot on about time loss happening between jobs. Once priorities shift, manual replanning just doesn’t scale. We spent a lot of time making sure time windows and must-visit rules stay solid, even when the day changes.
@marketing_fieldpie @liammiller Totally agree. A route plan is only useful if teams can actually execute it.
We designed it so dispatchers don’t have to rebuild the entire day when one variable changes. Small adjustments, not full resets.
🔥 New Feature: Image Recognition Heatmaps
We’ve just made Image Recognition in FieldPie even smarter.
With our new Heatmap Visualization, you can now see exactly what your field teams see — and instantly understand what’s happening on the shelf.
What’s New?
FieldPie now generates visual heatmaps on captured shelf photos, highlighting:
High attention zones on the shelf
Product visibility and placement strength
Planogram deviation areas
Out-of-stock and low-visibility spots
Execution gaps across the shelf
Instead of reviewing raw photos, teams can now interpret shelf performance visually in seconds.
Why It Matters?
In retail execution, small placement differences create big revenue impact. Heatmaps help you:
Detect visibility problems instantly
Identify missed or weak product zones
Improve planogram compliance
Increase execution consistency across stores
Turn shelf images into measurable insights
How It Works?
During store visits, FieldPie’s AI analyzes shelf photos and overlays a color-based heatmap showing visibility and execution intensity — from high-impact zones to weak areas.
No manual analysis. No guesswork. Just instant visual insight.
@marketing_fieldpie We’ve been testing the heatmap feature during store visits, and it actually makes photo reviews much easier. Instead of debating what’s visible or not, the visual overlay gives a clearer starting point. It helps us focus faster on problem areas.
@marketing_fieldpie The new Heatmap feature is a big step forward for shelf audits. Instead of manually reviewing dozens of photos, we can instantly see visibility gaps and execution weaknesses.
It makes planogram compliance much easier to manage and helps our team prioritize corrective actions faster. Turning shelf images into actionable insights saves us time and improves store-level performance.
We use it every day for cleaning checks and property inspections. It’s great for keeping photo records and making sure staff stay accountable.
Hey everyone, not sure if it’s officially out yet, but I saw a new Optimize Route with AI button in my schedule view this morning
Tried it for my 6 jobs today and it totally reshuffled the order saved me around 40 mins on the route.
Is this new or am I part of some beta test?
@nathanridley120 it is online
