Review FocuSee?
Reviewers praise FocuSee for fast, polished outputs with minimal editing, calling out smart auto-zoom, cursor effects, captions, and social-ready exports. The 2.0 update’s AI avatars, voice cleanup, background removal, smart cut, and voice enhancement earn repeated kudos for saving time on tutorials and marketing demos. Makers of
echo its ease and reliability. Critiques focus on export glitches, missing sharing/integrations, limited voice customization for avatars, and desired features like more templates, layers, and undo. Despite hiccups, creators widely recommend it.
I’ve been testing FocuSee for a recent collaboration, and I’m genuinely impressed. The AI editing is smooth, intuitive, and saves hours of manual work. Perfect for creators, educators, and marketers who want polished videos without spending all day editing.
What needs improvement
FocuSee is excellent overall, but it would be even better if the AI avatar narration offered more voice customization options (tone, pace, or accent). Additionally, a few more pre-built templates for different content types could make getting started even faster for new users.
vs Alternatives
I chose FocuSee because I wanted a screen recording tool that automatically edits videos in real time. As a content creator, I needed something that saves time on trimming, captions, and polishing while still producing professional-quality results. Its AI features and faceless video options made it a perfect fit.
It is painful and time-consuming to record a product demo, edit it, write the script, and record the voiceover. With FocuSee, everything for the product demo can be done in one place. Plus, you get different types of social media versions with one shot.
It would be even better if the video could be turned into a walkthrough blog or documentation, further extending the use cases of a demo walkthrough video into written content.
I just purchased, I did a recording for a demo for a client. UI is good, very easy to use. I did not even have to make any adjustments at all; I only did a cursor effect change. Love the product. Yes I already have screenrun, but wanted to invest with Focusee as well. My only question @inc_gemoo is, do you have the upgrade pricing for V2, and how soon do you think it will be for the release?
Hey @pvpiano , thanks for your support. And I'm really glad you're happy with Fousee. As for V2, it will not be released in at least 1 year, we will focus on improving the functionality and smoothness of the V1 version, as well as adding more features. And you know what, I'd like to offer all early users who support us a lifetime deal. This means that users who purchase now will be able to receive future updates for free, including V2, V3, and beyond. Hope you enjoy it! 🤗Stay tuned!
Love this, as it's the only recorder that comes with the auto zoom effects to my knowledge for Windows. Thanks to the FocuSee team for making it possible.
Congratulations on your launch! One question though: me and my coworkers currently use Camtasia for the same purpose. Can you tell me what benefits will I get if I switch to your product? I mean, you know your competitors, so for sure you know where you beat them. One thing in particular that bothers me if the notebook system requirements for Camtasia — with every new update it becomes slower and slower :( How is it with your product?
Thanks, Elena! In my opinion, FocuSee differs significantly from Camtasia. While Camtasia is more like traditional screen recording and editing software, FocuSee is specifically designed to be lightweight, user-friendly, and highly automated. In addition, AI features will be gradually added to help users save more time on pre- and post-recording. And, trust me, FocuSee will not become slower and less responsive after updates.
I think this really solves the issues of indie makers for creating descriptive videos. And the ability to add interactive questions in the timeline is awesome.
Congrats with the launch Morgan!
It was exciting to see how you build and grow FocuSee in Twitter!
I love how simple and slick the product is
Good luck!
Thanks Igor. Building in public has brought me numerous benefits and has transformed FocuSee into a product that users really need. I am thankful for all the advice and assistance provided by fellow indie hackers throughout this process. Without their help, FocuSee would not have reached its current state.
