I discovered Freescout on alternativeto.net where I was looking for a replacement of Freshdesk. Very surprised to discover this one! I used to use Helpscout when it was free and very existed by this open source project. Very similar to Helpscout so it was a question of minutes for me to configure and use the application... Can't wait to see what is next for this app.

FreeScout is easy to install and use. Core features are enough to management your helpdesk. You can also extend functionality by paid modules and/or write your own module.

The core functions are really free and unlimited. You can buy addons you need without bundle constrains.

@brucekraftjr not out of the box but you have access to the code so you can easily change it but except free scout logo, the rest is clean and you can put your own smtp, email, signature etc... on tickets nothing refer to freescout

@wpexpertca well that will lower the adoption rate by agencies if they can't replace their logo with yours. There's no way to replace that for a fee?
FreeScout is a fantastic product. It has saved me thousands of dollars over the last couple of years. It is infinitely customizable, and they have an add-on module for just about anything you need.
What needs improvement
The UI feels a little dated in some areas, but this is minimal.
Great tool, great code, great style. We were looking for a free and self-hosted email management tool for a long time and found FreeScout only now. It is a pleasure to work with the unobtrusive yet powerful user interface. This seems to be unique in a market of bloated, old-fashioned or overdone, social media focused and overpriced services, hosted on someone else's systems. Prices for the modules are ridiculous compared to the great added value. Could easily be a multiple while still being worth the money.

I love Freescout, Use it for multiple clients.
One downside is that the app is just the website on your phone and does not really work well.
It works but not as an App experience.
For the rest they do awesome and developing in it works good!
