A few people contacted me and asked how Goldmine handles high-volatility windows around news events on XAUUSD, so wanted to speak to that directly.

The short version: Gold is one of the few instruments where "just automate an indicator" falls apart fast — spread and slippage around session opens and data releases can wreck a naive EA. That's the specific problem we built around: systematic entries plus risk controls that account for that volatility, rather than a bot that trades identically all day.

Curious from this community. for those of you who've tried EAs before, was it the entries that let you down, or the risk/exit management?
