gottrix is a free collection of 400+ tools for PDFs, images, audio, video, and data - all running 100% client-side via WebAssembly. Nothing is ever uploaded: files are processed and stay entirely on your device, provable by design (no server-side file processing exists in the architecture), and the site keeps working fully offline after your first visit. No accounts, no upload waits, no privacy trade-off. Available in 25 languages with real, idiomatic localization - not machine translation.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
Flagship of gottrix is the PDF editor, and I built it because most "free" PDF editors online share the same two catches: your file gets uploaded to their server first, and real editing (not just viewing) usually gets paywalled after your first file or two.
gottrix's PDF editor drops both:
- 100% client-side, zero upload. Your file never leaves your device - not "deleted after 24h," but structurally: there's no server endpoint for file bytes to go to. Open dev tools and watch the network tab, or just disconnect and keep editing - it still works.
- Every tool, free, no account, no gate. Nothing behind a paywall.
- It edits the PDF like a real document, not a sticker layer on top of it. In-place text editing that keeps the file's ORIGINAL embedded font - most tools swap in a generic substitute the moment you touch existing text. You can also select, move, resize, or delete images, annotations, and vector shapes that were already IN the file, not just place new ones over it, which is where most browser-based PDF editors stop.
Would love feedback, especially from anyone who's hit the "wait, I can't actually edit my own existing text in a free PDF tool" wall before.
