iKnowMyMac is a native Mac app that tells you why your Mac is slow, what's filling your disk and what's draining your battery, with the evidence and one action for each. It also updates your other apps from one tab. One-time purchase, no subscription.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Deepak. I built iKnowMyMac because every system monitor gave me numbers and left me to work out the answer.
Press "Why is my Mac slow?" and it reads the last hour, ranks the causes and shows the evidence, like "Docker and 3 simulators took 14.6 GB and pushed 4.2 GB into swap". Each cause has one action.
It also shows what's filling your disk, what kept your Mac awake overnight, per-app volume, updates for your other apps, and a log of every USB device that connects.
It's for Apple silicon Macs on macOS 15 or later. No account, no analytics in the app.
Price: $4.99 one-time for the first 100 licenses, then $9.99. There's no trial, but a 14-day refund, no questions.
I launched on 1 October and 41 people have bought it so far. I'd love to know what it finds on your Mac, and what's missing.
@new_user___1042026c76a2003a4f76c2a Hey Deepak. Your favorite user, here!Congrats on thre PHunt launch.
To everyone else, I've been using this for a few weeks now, and I've found it genuinely worth the price. My agents were clogging up my hard drive, and now I can easily see what's safe to remove. Plus the notch notifications keep me completely aware of who is using what! One of the rare apps that solves a real problem and is priced in such a way that it's not worth building your own!
@paulgeller Thank You Paul for such nice words.
Also Thank you for sharing the feedback which helped me in improving the app.
Many Good things are coming soon!
This is something I've been looking for, so I decided to buy it. However, so far, the experience has been pretty frustrating.
For example, I use VSCode and Chrome a lot, and I constantly get notifications about increased memory usage or memory pressure. But that's expected! Of course memory usage will increase when I'm researching something and opening multiple tabs. Or when I'm in the development process.
It would be great to have an option to disable specific notifications for individual apps or at least find a way to make them less intrusive. Right now, the constant notifications are more annoying than helpful.
@utiq Absolutely, I am releasing updates with fixes by tomorrow where you will be able to disable individual notifications.
Thank you for buying. You will get regular updates on the app.
@utiq As promised, 1.4.5 is out. On any alert you can now choose Don't Alert About This App, or turn that kind of alert off, right from the notification or the notch. Settings → Alerts lists the apps you've muted, with Unmute, and you can mute an app before it ever alerts.
The memory and CPU gauge at the notch also waits until your Mac is seriously short now, so VS Code and Chrome using memory during normal work won't set it off. If you prefer the old behaviour, Settings → Alerts can bring it back.
Thank you for reporting it. Your comment shaped this update.
Upvoted. As i see this really helpful while working. Currently i'm using the Activity montior and its solve my purpose but can't categories the app wise usage properly. So thumbs up for your idea. I'll prefer to purchase in future. Thanks
