Review Jira?
Reviewers see Jira as a strong but often cumbersome tool for engineering and project work. They repeatedly praise its issue tracking, sprint planning, customizable workflows, dashboards, reporting, and integrations, especially for complex, multi-team projects where simpler tools feel limited. Many say it scales well and keeps teams aligned on bugs, tasks, and milestones. The tradeoff is a steep learning curve, a clunky or crowded interface, and occasional lag, especially on larger boards or projects. Makers of Zencoder and others echo that it helps keep growing engineering work predictable.
Jira keeps our launches sane across iOS, macOS, Android, and Windows. It’s how we track priorities, connect bugs to releases, and make sure nothing slips when things move fast. Simple, reliable, and easy to coordinate around.
Jira is great for keeping work organized, especially when multiple teams and projects are involved. Once things are set up, it’s easy to track progress without constantly asking for updates.
What needs improvement
complex interface (23)
At first, the setup and interface feel a bit heavy. New users usually need some time to get used to it.
This product is a life saver, Makes it easy to organize priorities. It has some weird annoying quirks, but overall a great product, one that can't be lived with out for dev management.
